The bike with a flawless reputation of being the best touring bikes on the world streets. Honda is now all set to launch the VFR 1200F in New Delhi on August 2nd. The bike boasts of a 1237cc engine that spurns a good 170PS of power at 10000 rpm and 129Nm of torque at 8750 rpm. The kerb weight of the bike is 267kg.
The bike sports a vacuum molded cast aluminum chassis. In the front view the bike features 43mm cartridge type forls, while the pro-link monoshock with gas charged damper makes up for the rear. The bike sports a well crafted single sided swing arm and final drive is through a shaft than a chain. This very shaft ensures that the bike comes across as a touring bike and not a sports bike.
The bike also comes all loaded with electronic throttle control and Honda’s C-ABS anti-lock braking system. The bike was available internationally with two transmission options – six speed manual transmission and a dual clutch auto transmission. We are still unaware about which option will be available in India but, if the latter comes in, the bike will turn out to be more expensive. Though the exact price of the bike is not known, the international price indicates Indian price of around Rs 25 lakhs.
