Now, there have been gazillion images, pictures, videos that have been doing rounds of the global bike forums showcasing the assumed or would be Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. The final version was finally seen when taken out of wraps by the company in the Nurburgring circuit at Germany. The new Ninja ZX-10R Racer is planned to make a debut in the 2011 WBSK Championship.

The technical details and detailed specification are yet to be given out by the Japanese manufacturer. The next best time when we get to have a close look at this monster will be at the official launch of the production machine nearly in October at the Intermot show.

Yamaha brings in 2011 images and as we can see there are marginal changes in the Indianized models. The new bike has a renewed paint scheme with a good Yamaha trademark blue that has always been on the bikes. Also, additions are the wine red color option with a skull themed graffiti on the side panel. The comeback is in terms of the stealth paintjob that will come up in 2011. The V-max here gets a new shade of silver. The 2010 model is coming with the black and red shades.

Now, for Yamaha Japanese bike maker, Yamaha India falls ninth in the line up for new models. Seeing the priority, we can not expect too many changes and color options in India. The 2011 models will be on sale in US and UK by December 2010/Januay 2011, India will start getting new models by April 2011. Though we are not complaining about the red that we see in Yamaha, we expect some new color schemes to come in 2011 YZF-R15.

Dr Venki Padmanabhan, COO, Royal Enfield, said “We thought that new Enfield models would have a very small demand, with the Classic we expected to do 200 units a month, surprisingly the demand is close to a 1,000. We’re building both capacity and R&D capability. In the next 2-3 years we’ll be doubling capacity.”

As of now, Royal Enfield has 5 models in India, out of which Thunderbird 350 has 3 months waiting period while the Classic 350 and 500 wait period goes upto 9 months.

Great news that is doing rounds is that the much loved cult bike Machismo will be launched with a revamped look and new engine. The company is planning on bringing in bikes with high capacity 750cc and 1000cc that includes a high-end Racer.

“The domestic two-wheeler industry remains buoyant and we expect growth to maintain this trajectory in the coming months… For us at Hero Honda, the record four lakh-plus sales for the fourth consecutive month, has set the tone for the festival season,” Hero Honda Motors Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.

The company has lined up a number of new launches to meet its customers’ expectations in the coming festive season, he added.

The growth has been coming from across segments, including scooter where Pleasure has contributed over 27,000 units in August, the statement said.

Pune-based auto maker Bajaj Auto has reported a growth of 55% in its monthly sales for August 2010. The company has sold total 3,29,364 units in August 2010 as compared to 2,13,072 units in August 2009.

Motorcycles and three wheelers sales of the company grew by 59% and 34% to 2,89,176 units and 40,188 units, respectively, during the month under review over the year ago period, while Export sales rose by 31% to 98,578 units in August this year from 75,164 units in the same month last year.

The company;s net profit had surged by 101.08% to Rs 590.15 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 against Rs 293.49 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. Its total income jumped by 68.16% to Rs 3,971.30 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 2,361.61 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.

The picture that we see here is of a Kawasaki W650 that was released and available for sale in the United States for span of two years. It was though part of the other markets, not India though, until 2008 and owing to this masterpiece was very well received by the press and the ones that bought it.

Now, rumors that are making rounds are that Kawasaki is all set to bring in a successor to the original bike with an 800cc engine and named W800. The original bike had a 360 degree crank, operative kick starter, and other retro influences. The W800 if to be believed a reentry is expected to have more power, fuel injection, and possibly a disc rear brake.

If the W800 makes an appearance as planned and anticipated by Kawasaki, it will likely be in Cologne, but there is no speculation about when the bike will be in United States. And, if the US market is still skeptical about the release, I am sure we can just keep our hopes high and wait for this beauty to touch Indian grounds.

Yamaha has registered a growth of 30% in sales during August 2010 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 30,450 units in August 2010 as against 23,466 units sold in August 2009. In domestic markets, the company sold 22,672 units in August 2010 as compared to 19,508 units in the same month last year. The export figures stood at 7,778 units in August 2010 while 3,958 units were exported in August 2009.
